Thyme and Olive
Brand Identity & Concept for a Sustainable Cooking Experience
Thyme and Olive is a sustainable Mediterranean cooking experience based in Messinia, Greece, hosted at an eco-friendly retreat. The concept brings together sustainable Greek cuisine, local ingredients, and slow living, offering visitors an intimate, hands-on cultural experience rather than a conventional cooking class.
Role & Scope
Brand designer and creative lead.
Brand identity, naming, concept development, visual direction, and messaging.
Approach
The brand was developed around the idea of sustainable Mediterranean living as a cultural practice, not a trend. Early exploration began under the working title Plant to Table, which evolved into Thyme and Olive — a name grounded in local identity, referencing the region’s olive oil heritage and the symbolic role of thyme in Greek cuisine and landscape.
The visual identity balances elegance and warmth, combining a restrained typographic system with an organic symbol inspired by Mediterranean flora. The palette draws from natural materials and domestic spaces, supporting a calm, tactile aesthetic that reflects the experience itself: slow, sensory, and human.
The identity was designed to work across physical and digital touchpoints, from printed materials to social media and future web presence.
Outcome
A refined brand foundation for a premium, sustainability-led cooking experience.
Olive & Thyme is positioned as an intimate cultural offering that blends food, place, and mindful hospitality, with a visual identity that supports storytelling, consistency, and future growth as the experience expands.
