Harvard University Press commissioned visual and layout support for Dreaming and Historical Consciousness in Island Greece, a scholarly publication by Professor Charles Stewart. The work required sensitivity to academic rigor while maintaining a refined, contemporary visual language.
The focus was on restraint and clarity. Visual decisions were guided by the content itself, allowing typography, spacing, and imagery to support the text without distraction. Photography and layout were treated as complementary elements, enhancing the reading experience while preserving academic seriousness.
A considered editorial contribution aligned with the standards of Harvard University Press. The project demonstrates an ability to work within rigorous institutional frameworks while delivering thoughtful, well-crafted design.
